UNDERSTANDING TINY TATTOOS
Unfortunately, many clients leave dissatisfied with the thickness, darkness or uneven linework offered by the "cheaper artist".

It's important to understand the art of tiny tattoos when choosing an artist and a price range regarding this style. In-experienced clients often wonder why smaller tattoos have a higher hourly rate than - what seem to be - larger, more complex tattoos. Ironically, the smaller and finer the tattoo, the more difficult it actually is to implement into the skin properly. Tiny tattoos take PATIENCE. Rushing the linework will result in a blow out, scarring or will simply cut the skin open immediately.
There is essentially zero room for error with even the smallest change in hand pressure can cause an uneven healed line or a blow out. Choosing a fine line or realism specialist will ensure that you are trusting an artist that works with this high level of pressure and detail on a daily basis.

Particular equipment is required to do those dainty, feminine, clean tiny tattoos you keep saving to your Pinterest board.
We use needles, machinery and stencil printers that allow us to be as precise as technically possible.
Traditional shops may not have this equipment but will tell you they can do the tiny tattoos, anyway.
Quality equipment is expensive and will not allow for cheaply priced tattoos.
Always look at an artists portfolio and study the line work.
If you are walking in, be sure to ask if the artist is an apprentice and to see their work before sitting in the chair.

A well-paid artist that charges hourly is going to take their time with you. Want to move the stencil 10 times to get it perfect? You should! So many clients tell us of their horror stories where the tattoo artist was rushing them or seemed annoyed or frustrated because they were "taking too long".
Artists that charge less than their worth are exhausted and on a time crunch to get the next client in after you.
You truly will get what you pay for.
$150 - 200 may seem like a lot for something tiny - but this is a LIFETIME investment. What else can you buy for $200 that will last forever? Invest in yourself and treat your body with respect. You deserve it! .
